I’ve been up since about 1:15 am wondering what this weekend will bring. You are wiggling inside of me, and I’m having mild contractions every so often. Eventually, at 3 am I decided that a bowl of cereal might help. Now, it’s 3:30 am, and I’m pacing. Preparing. Being. Within about 48 hours, you will be in my arms.
I’ve waited for this day for so long, and now it is surreal. Unbelievable. Yet, my contracting muscles remind me that we have quite a journey ahead of us. Hang in there, little girl. Keep proving the doctors wrong, as you display the might of your Heavenly Father.
Your Daddy didn’t come to bed until about 1 am this morning. He is working so hard to finish school assignments and prepare the house for you. We are so loved. He is going to be my rock during labor. He is so in love with you, sweet one.
Your grandparents and aunts are traveling from all over the country to come meet you. No one can stay away. You have so many people to meet. People who have been praying for you and loving you since you were conceived.
But, none more than me.
You are part of me. Woven into the fiber of my being. Nothing will ever change that.

I am currently awake at 5am (have been since 3.30) unable to sleep on the day we both have our babies!

How are you? How is your little girl?
Good!! 2 days of pre labour with the gels and then 12 hours of labour. She was born at 2.13am this morning so is now 12 hours old! Went from 2cms to fully dilated in 2 hours. Not a fun time but it’s over now. She was having a bit of trouble breathing at first so is in the special care unit but is just being kept an eye on really.
