Do you ever find one of those combinations between not-so-good-for-you and outrageously healthy? Kind of like when Redi-Whip came out with fat-free whipped cream, only five calories per frothy serving? Or, when Starbucks introduced its “light” variety of the Java Chip Frappucino?
Let me introduce you to a new winner . . . Peanut Butter Multi-Grain Cheerios.
No, it is not healthy food, but it is not exactly junk food either. A modest amount of fiber is camouflaged with a small dose of sugar and coated with a fabulous nutty flavor. Delicious with almond milk. Delicious right out of the bag.
I’ve decided that it makes a wonderful “courage-boosting” addition to an otherwise healthy breakfast. For today, I need to have some hard conversations with some of my peers. I need to make an impact on my students. I need to metabolize the first day’s treatment of a new experimental drug that I will be taking for the next several months.
I’ve decided that Peanut Butter Cheerios are a good way to treat myself to sweetness. Kind of like a “Good Morning, Lauren!” from myself.
How nice. I could use “nice.”
Good Morning, All! Happy Cheerios eating to you too!
Make yourself a breakfast trail mix. Put a few almonds and yogurt covered raisins with it, yum!
