Tuesday’s Prayer

I Corinthians 1:25-31 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”

I am chosen. I may not be wise, mighty or noble, but I am called. We are chosen. We may not be strong or great, but we are made righteous, sanctified, redeemed. We are sealed for the glory of Heaven. Our lives can become testimonies of the miraculous invading earth here and now, today and in our own circles of influence. We can be conduits of the Holy Spirit’s glory.

Dear Father God,

You know my weaknesses. You understand my failings, and they are many. You know what does not even exist in my own life yet, but what You are planning to call out and create. You are the God of the Impossible.

Make me a servant today. May I be a living sacrifice. Set my feet upon the Rock that I may not be shaken. I love You, and I worship You.

Love, Lauren
